libfastahack-dev software package provides library for indexing and sequence extraction from FASTA files (devel), you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfastahack-dev
libfastahack-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfastahack-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfastahack-dev *
You will get with libfastahack-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
